Ross Gerber is the CEO of Gerber Kawasaki Wealth and Investment Management, and a Tesla investor. Gerber said that “It serves no value to try to compare the Mach-E to a Tesla.”
“Why would Ford have to compare?” Levine questioned. The Mustang Mach-E is in direct competition with the Tesla Model Y, so that may have something to do with it.
Gerber went on to criticize Ford’s dealerships for “ripping off EV customers with BS $5,000 fees”. Levine fired back with a gripe about Tesla’s Full Self Driving technology, which has been disputed for not actually offering complete autonomous driving, calling it “vaporware”.

“Don’t listen to me. Listen to the media.” Levine said.
Ford’s current brand value is US$13.643 billion, while Tesla boasts a staggering value of over US$800 billion dollars.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk also prefaced his tech as a “Beta” version, in order to set expectations low so the tech can mature. So far, over 2,000 owners have tried the tech, with zero accidents reported, although some owners have had the tech taken away for not keeping their eyes on the road.
