No on-sale date has been announced for either one, but the Hummer SUV has been tagged with a 2024 model-year and suggestions it could launch early 2023. Chevrolet has yet to release any photos of the all-electric Silverado.

GM president Mark Reuss made the announcement, saying both will be built in the company’s Factory Zero assembly plant in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan. The new facility is a US$2.2-billion makeover of the existing Hamtramck factory, which was renamed in October 2020.
