The 2022 Hyundai Veloster will be sold exclusively in the performance N trim to North American shoppers, carrying over a 2020 distribution strategy implemented in Canada that last year removed all of the Veloster’s lower-level trims. The brand confirmed to Car & Driver that it will also be pulling the 2022-model-year 2.0, 2.0 Premium, R-Spec, Turbo, and Ultimate models from the U.S.

Because it’s our collective fault that the brand is paring back the Veloster’s options so much in the first place — we simply aren’t buying enough, as Hyundai now officially cites lacking market demand as its reason for withholding trims.
The 275-horsepower 2021 Veloster N is, however, still currently available in Canada, starting at $37,799.
