Hyundai Canada has announced pricing for its 2022 Kona, including an electric version and all-new N Line trim.

There’s a redesign on the lineup, which will start at $21,999 for gasoline models, and $43,699 for the electric version.
The makeover includes front and rear restyling, increased cargo space and rear-seat legroom, new console, and new wheel designs. The Kona Electric also gets new styling, along with 10.25-inch centre screen and instrument cluster displays, and a redesigned centre console with wireless charging capability.
The new N Line gets sportier styling with body-colour cladding, aerodynamic lower front lip, larger air intakes, and 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. Inside, the N Line adds black seats with red stitching, black headliner, metal pedals, and “N” logos on the seats, steering wheel, and shift lever.

The Kona lineup starts with a 2.0L four-cylinder, making 147 horsepower and mated to a CVT. The N Line uses a 1.6L turbocharged engine for 195 horsepower, and comes with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The Kona Electric uses a 150-kW electric motor with 64-kWh lithium-ion battery, and offers a range of 415 kilometres.
The 2.0L Kona starts with the $21,999 Essential trim in front-wheel-drive, and $23,999 in all-wheel, and tops out at $28,599 for the Preferred AWD Sun and Leather Package. The N Line is $28,099, and $33,699 for the N Line Ultimate Package.
The Kona Electric comes in three trim levels: the Preferred at $43,699; Preferred in two-tone at $44,149; and the Ultimate at $49,199.
