Ontario woman arrested following police chase north of Montreal
During the chase, the car struck and damaged three SQ vehicles.
A 32-year-old woman from Ontario was arrested early Saturday morning after she led Sûreté du Québec officers on a 40-kilometre police chase north of Montreal during which three patrol cars were damaged.
SQ spokesperson Sgt. Audrey-Anne Bilodeau said the pursuit began at around 4 a.m. on Bridgestone St. in Joliette. The driver of a car appeared to be confused and was driving in the wrong direction along the street.

The driver refused to pull over and led police on a chase northbound that continued on to Highway 125 toward Rawdon.
It ended on Vincent Massey Rd. in Rawdon after the car drove over a spiked strip laid down by police in an effort to stop the vehicle.
Bilodeau said the car continued on with flat tires, but ultimately came to a stop when it was rolling on its rims.
During the chase, the car struck and damaged three SQ vehicles and the officer who laid down the spiked strip was almost hit.
The woman was arrested and will be detained for a possible court appearance later on Saturday.
Bilodeau said the woman did not appear to be impaired when she was arrested, but will likely be charged with reckless driving and aggravated assault.
