Covering over 2,500 km of California and Nevada’s rugged and diverse geography, the Rebelle Rally annually tests the endurance and skill of top female drivers and navigators. This year, it played out like a marketing campaign for the new Jeep Wrangler.

The 2021 Rebelle Rally podium was populated exclusively by racers driving the new Jeep Wrangler, with two 4xe plug-in hybrid models taking the top spots and a non-electrified Wrangler claiming third. It’s the first time an electrified vehicle has even completed the challenge, and this one clenched the top two.

Another two Jeep vehicles filled out the brand presence to five out of the top ten.

Nena Barlow and Teralin Petereit took first place in their Team 4xEventure Wrangler Rubicon 4xe, while mother-daughter duo Christine and Emily Benzie followed behind in their Wrangler 4xe. The fact that both Jeeps were left unmodified, with the exception of tires and wheels in factory size, qualified them for the Bone Stock category — they won that in first and second place, respectively, as well.

Jeep also sponsored Team Asdzáá Skoden Rebelles, the first Navajo team to take on the rally.

“The Jeep brand has supported the Rebelle Rally since the beginning six years ago and, this year, we were excited to showcase the new Wrangler 4xe in the most difficult off-road rally conditions,” said Jim Morrison, Vice President, Jeep Brand North America in a release. “It’s a testament to our teams in the race and our engineering teams at home that this year Jeep Wrangler swept the podium, with two Wrangler 4xe SUVs placing first and second overall, as well taking the Bone Stock and electrified awards without a single issue the entire Rally. Congratulations to everyone who rallied this year.”
