Lunaz, based in Silverstone, U.K., has earned a reputation by putting electric drivetrains in tired old British cars.
Previous projects have included Jaguar, Bentley, and Rolls-Royce.
For every build, Lunaz strips the vehicle down to the bare metal to give it a proper restoration before it installs the electric components.
Two trims will be available called ‘Town’ and ‘Country’. The Town trim will feature better rear seat comfort to make the vehicle more suitable as a chauffeured car, and will be available in both short- and long-wheelbase versions.
The ‘Country’ trim will be more suited for the outdoorsman, and will feature a four-wheel-drive system, updated suspension, anti-roll bars, and better brakes. The interior will also be significantly enhanced with nicer material, while still maintaining the character of the original cabin.

The U.K. is set to ban sales of new gas-engined vehicles in 2030, making buying a Lunaz a great workaround. The firm has also found favour with enthusiasts who want a brand-new electric vehicle with classic looks, and without the reliability problems that plagued these old British beasts.
Prices begin at £245,000 (CDN$418,268), about three-and-a-half times the price of a new Porsche Taycan, at CDN$119,400. Only 50 of these Rovers will be made, so get your hands on one early!
