Mansory’s Ford GT is a $2.8-million carbon-fibre mistake
It's one of just three they'll build, which is probably a good thing

The first of three custom Ford GTs made by German tuner Mansory was completed in June, but it’s the $2.8-million price tag that’s just been stuck on it recently getting a lot of attention.
Because unlike some of the cost competitors like Ferrari, Pagani, Koenigsegg and Bugatti, all of which create fully original automotive masterpieces, Mansory is basically just carving up a Ford GT, stuffing it with a bunch (like, bunch) of carbon fibre and Alcantara, and calling it a European superluxe.
Here’s what we’re looking at.

The blue-and-white carbon-fibre two-seater, which is being produced as a celebration of Mansory’s 30th year of business, is currently up for dibs on German classified site Mobile for 1.8 million Euros, tax in.
The carbon-fibre kit that replaces the Ford GT donor body adds nearly two inches to the car’s width. On the front end, Mansory swapped in new LED headlights, big air intakes and tweaked the hood. It’s also got a massive wing, serious side skirts and a hood scoop. It may not be a visual improvement, but it is more expensive, so—
Speaking of more expensive, there’s plenty of black Alcantara surfaces inside, contrasted by stitching in blue and white, plus more carbon fibre everywhere possible.
Under the custom engine cover is a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 good for 700 horsepower and 620 lb.-ft. of torque. That bests the most recent Ford GT’s own powerplant by 40 horsepower and 70 lb.-ft. of torque.
It might be a good thing that Mansory is only making three of these units, because at this price it could take a minute to find the few people on the planet with that much money and that sense of style. Prove me wrong, Internet.
