“Added to this is the high-performance battery developed in-house, which has twice the power density of conventional drive batteries and, like many other components, is inspired by technology from Formula 1.”

The influence of F1 on the GT 63 S E Performance’s battery design comes to fruition through it’s fast power delivery and draw, however the trade off is a mediocre 12-kilometre range.

The Mercedes-AMG GT63 S E Performance is expected to be available for the 2023 model year.
