Ontario opening more ‘pop-up’ road test centres in high-demand areas
Relief in the form of more test bookings is coming to Burlington, East Gwillimbury, and Markham

The Ontario government is hoping to clear the ongoing driver’s test bottleneck plaguing the provincial system and grounding would-be drivers with the addition of a number of new drive test centres headed to strategic locations — namely Burlington, Markham, and East Gwillimbury.

Temporary locations at Burlington GO Station and Mount Joy GO Station in Markham will host G2 and G road tests every day from 8:30 AM to 5 PM starting Tuesday, Sept 7.
And…
Temporary locations at East Gwillimbury GO Station will offer G2 and G tests every day from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Following a full-scale shutdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the government resumed testing earlier this summer and has already opened similar ‘pop-up’ locations in Guelph and Oshawa. Now it’s running tests seven days a week with a roster of 251 temporary test instructors in an attempt to make up for lost time.
