Plugged In: Magna has grand designs on electrification

Influential Canadian company doing research and development that will find its way into EVs of the near future

On this week’s episode we speak with the man in charge of Magna International’s powertrain division, which recently developed an electric drivetrain system for pickup trucks, the first of many EV-related innovations the Canadian company has planned for the future.

Among the many innovations Magna International has developed and brought to the automotive sector over the years are Stow ‘n’ Go seats, backup cameras and trailer angle detection technology. Now that it has focused its research, development and production prowess on the EV segment, the global powerhouse is poised to become a major player in the electrification of the automobile.
