It’s not only consumers who need to get educated when it comes to electric vehicles. In this week’s episode, we talk with the head of the British Columbia Institute of Technology’s automotive department about the ground-breaking battery electric vehicle technology and service course the school has been offering to auto tech apprentices for a number of years now.

Mubasher Faruki also touches on a looming issue in the EV universe — with so much proprietary technology on electric vehicles, will mechanics and technicians be able to access the information required to fix these vehicles? The so-called Right to Repair issue is becoming a massive global issue in all kinds of technologies, and that battle seems to be coming on the EV front too.
