For 2020, the Tacoma loses its four-cylinder engine and 4x2 configuration; all models are now V6-powered and 4x4. Most trim levels receive a new grille, new wheel designs, and a ten-way power driver’s seat. A new multimedia system adds Android Auto and Apple CarPlay to all trim levels, and an 8-inch touchscreen is available. The TRD Pro receives unique LED headlights, new wheels, and a multi-terrain monitor, while it and the Limited also received a standard panoramic-view camera. A new LED cargo bed lamp is also available. The Tacoma is available as an Access Cab with 6-foot-1 bed, or Double Cab with 5-foot or 6-foot-1 bed, and all with four-wheel drive. Both the Access Cab and Double Cab use a 3.5-L V6, and both are available with a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission. The Access Cab comes in SR trim, which can be upgraded with an SR5 or TRD Off Road Package. The Double Cab comes as SR, TRD Off Road, TRD Sport Premium, and Limited; available option packages are the SR5, TRD Sport, TRD Sport Premium, Off Road Premium, and TRD Pro. All models come standard with a towing package. Maximum towing capacity for the Access Cab is 6,504 lbs, with top payload of 1,146 lbs. The Double Cab can tow up to 6,393 lbs, with maximum payload of 992 lbs. Warranty is 3-years/60,000 km basic, with 5-years/100,000 km powertrain.
