Seriously, did they Bic these things?

Have you ever kept a pair of sneakers in rotation for way too long?
Maybe because you loved them or maybe because you were strapped for cash at the moment, but rather than throwing them out when they started to deteriorate, you kept wearing them until the soles were as smooth as the underside of your arm and you could feel every pebble on the sidewalk?
Honestly, it’s OK to do that with your shoes every now and then. But never with your tires.
Police in Caledon, Ontario, recently reprimanded a driver operating a vehicle with some seriously bald tires. So bald you can see patches and strips of missing rubber. So bald the officers felt the need to take pictures.

The driver was charged for operating an unsafe vehicle, which can accompany a fine of up to $1,000, and more if the individual doesn’t get the vehicle fixed ASAP and is subsequently stopped on the roads in the same condition.
Driving on bald or worn tires is dangerous and unsafe as the rubber’s smooth surface provides less grip, plain and simple. This means you’re more likely to hydroplane, slide on wet and oily surfaces or when braking, slip on ice and snow, or lose control in any number of other situations.
The easy way to avoid those slippery situations is simple: replace your tires when it’s time .
Besides, unlike your scuffed and holey ‘vintage’ Converse shoes, which actually still look pretty cool, rocking worn tires is never a good look.
