Word of the appeasement first showed up in mainstream automotive media by way of gearheads at The Fast Lane Car in Colorado — who have bought a Bronco of their own for testing, by the way. A reader, who has apparently been affected by the production delays, sent a note describing the hammock and how it included a dad-joke from Ford to ‘hang in there’ in the face of these interruptions. However, a Facebook post by a Blue Oval dealership south of the border reveals this initiative stretches back to mid-August.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, some folks who received this piece of Bronco memorabilia are seeking to make a few bucks by posting the thing on eBay . As of this writing, there are several listings, some of which are bearing hefty price tags. You can bet these relatively rare items will be hoisted aloft as part and parcel of a Barrett-Jackson sale at some point in the future.

Ford’s had a rough time trying to roll out its hotly anticipated Bronco, thanks to problems with its hardtop roof and other issues including world commodity constraints. This has led to inventory shortages and some delivery dates being pushed into the future. The company has been transparent with dealers and customers about most Bronco issues, an approach which at least sets proper expectations instead of keeping everyone in the dark.
