Barring any further restrictions, the Montreal Electric Vehicle Show (MEVS) will be held on September 17-19, 2021 at Montreal’s Olympic Stadium. The Quebec Electric Vehicle Show (QEVS) will run October 1-3, 2021 at the Centre de foires de Québec in Quebec City. Both will be indoor events.

Luc Saumure, director of administration and marketing for the shows, said in a statement that he expects gatherings of more than 250 people will be permitted by that time, due to sufficient numbers of people being vaccinated. “The MEVS and QEVS will therefore become the first large interior public exhibitions to open their doors to the general public.”

The show will be held in accordance with whatever government health restrictions will be in place at the time.

The two events showcase all means of electric transportation, and include displays of electric motorcycles, bicycles, boats, ATVs, commercial vehicles, and public transit vehicles as well as passenger cars. The shows include test-drives on indoor and outdoor tracks, manufacturer displays, guest speakers, and information on charging stations, insurance, financing, and other related industries.

Quebec offers a provincial rebate of up to $8,000 for those who buy an EV, the most generous of the “green” rebates also available in British Columbia, Nova Scotia, Yukon, and from the federal government.
